New maps are posted that outline the new Ramsey County commissioner boundary lines. The boundaries as based on population changes reflected in the 2010 Census.

Ramsey County to Adopt New Redistricting Plan

The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners will be adopting new election district lines at the April 24 meeting.

The lines are redrawn every 10 years based on census changes.

Bill to Raise Hunting, Fishing License Fees Stalls in Senate

A proposal to raise hunting and fishing license fees has been put on hold in the Minnesota Senate.

Republican author Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen tabled the bill after he attempted to add Senate language that includes the fee hikes to a House-passed bill without the increases. His amendment was defeated on 27-39 vote, with lawmakers in both parties split.

Students, Community to Rally at State Capitol to Support U of M

The Minnesota State Capitol will be surrounded by University of Minnesota supporters this Friday.

“Support the U Rally Day” is an annual event hosted by students. It gives the public a chance to voice support for the institution in front of elected officials.
