St. Paul Store Owner Sentenced for Food Stamp Fraud

A judge sentenced the owner of Strkyer Avenue Market in St. Paul ot 41 months in prison Tuesday for trafficking food stamps. He was also ordered to pay $2.4 million in restitution.

Mother Charged With Smothering 5-Month-Old Son

A 24-year-old woman has been charged with smothering her five-month-old son by pinching his nose and covering his mouth.

Katie Elaine Lewis of Hutchinson is charged with third degree assault, child endangerment, and domestic assault by strangulation for the May 2 incident.

St. Paul Man Pleads Guilty to 2007 Rape of Teen, 2011 Rape of Ex-Girlfriend

The man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl back in 2007 and an ex-girlfriend in 2011 has pleaded guilty.

Twenty-year-old Courtney Lamont Osgood of St. Paul is accused of raping his ex-girlfriend on May 29, 2011. Evidence from this case linked him to the 2007 case.

Minn. Man Accused of Throwing Tiny Dog Against Car

St. Paul police have cited a man accused of repeatedly throwing his wife's tiny dog against a parked car.

Police found the woman cradling the apparently unconscious 4-pound Yorkshire terrier in her arms Friday. A veterinarian says the dog, Bentley, is expected to recover.

St. Paul Nurse Sentenced for Stealing Painkiller

A St. Paul nurse has been sentenced to four years probation for stealing a painkiller from patients at an assisted living facility where he once worked.

Thirty-six-year-old Travis Bourbonnais was sentenced Wednesday in federal court on one count of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
