A 24-year-old woman has been charged with smothering her five-month-old son by pinching his nose and covering his mouth.

Katie Elaine Lewis of Hutchinson is charged with third degree assault, child endangerment, and domestic assault by strangulation for the May 2 incident.

Minn. Man Accused of Throwing Tiny Dog Against Car

St. Paul police have cited a man accused of repeatedly throwing his wife's tiny dog against a parked car.

Police found the woman cradling the apparently unconscious 4-pound Yorkshire terrier in her arms Friday. A veterinarian says the dog, Bentley, is expected to recover.
